On 4 December 2025, a debate was held at the Makhinjauri Maritime School on the topic: “Globalization — More Opportunities or a Threat?”

The students discussed issues of particular relevance to the modern world, including the positive and negative aspects of globalization, its cultural impacts, economic changes, and environmental challenges.

The event was led by Sofio Nemsadze.

On 2 December 2025, the Quality Assurance Office of the Makhinjauri Maritime School conducted an informational meeting for vocational students.

The aim of the meeting was to present the mechanisms of quality assurance and to highlight the importance of student involvement.

The session provided participants with the opportunity to ask questions of interest, share their perspectives, and gain a clearer understanding of how the school’s quality assurance system functions.

On 26 November 2025, representatives of the Batumi Municipal Division of the National Agency for Military Conscription and Recruitment visited the Makhinjauri Maritime School. They held an informational session for the students and vocational trainees.

During the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Abesalom Kartsivadze presented the amendments introduced to the Defence Code, as well as the new conditions and opportunities available within the conscription process.

On 26 November 2025, a public lecture titled “The Maritime Labour Convention: International Maritime Minimum Standards for Seafarers” was held at the Makhinjauri Maritime School.

The lecture was delivered by Mariam Jaqeli, a legal specialist invited from Batumi Navigation University, who introduced the attendees to the significance of the Convention for shipowners and seafarers. She also presented information on international standards, current practices, and the key issues that

On 24 November 2025, students of the Makhinjauri Maritime School attended a public lecture titled “Saint George and Georgian State Symbols,” held at the Museum of Religion.

The lecture focused on Saint George as a central figure of Georgia’s national symbolism within the history of Georgian heraldry. The main speaker was Professor Otar Gogolishvili, Director of the Khariton Akhvlediani Museum of Adjara.
